Police Recover Abandoned Two-day Old Baby

The Ekiti State Police Command has recovered a two-day old baby abandoned on the street of Ado-Ekiti.

The baby, according to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Taiwo Lakanu, was dropped  beside a shop at No. 12, Olora Street, Adebayo Road, Ado-Ekiti on October 19, about 8.30p.m.

Lakanu, who responded through the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Victor Babayemi,  said members of the public had alerted the police, following which  detectives from the command visited the area and  picked up the baby.
