Organised labour in Ekiti State has called on the trade centres in Abuja to file a court action against the National Assembly over its resolve to delist the labour matters from the Exclusive to Concurrent List.
Speaking with THISDAY in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ayodeji Aluko, and his counterpart in the Trade Union Congress, Comrade Kolawle Olaiya, contended that such step would spell doom for the welfare of workers and derail the delivery of democracy to the populace.
The TUC leader, Olaiya, specifically called on the trade centres tounite against the policy, which he described as anti-workers, by filing a suit against the National Assembly in line with Section 36 of the 1999 constitution, which places premium on fundamental human rights .
